Norco High School Football Out! What Really Went Down…

Alright, here we go — boom, Norco’s out.
What’d I miss? Norco just had to forfeit its whole 2025 football season. Yeah, the whole thing. 6 wins… gone just like that. Now Norco is 0-9 on paper. Let’s talk about it.  

See, what I’m reading… somebody’s parent went and exposed what was really going on behind the scenes. Word got back to the CIF (the governing body for high school sports in Cali) and that’s when things started to unfold. Turns out, Norco had been running with a player who wasn’t even eligible. Falsified paperwork, registration slips, transfer rule mix-ups, all that.

Now, CIF don’t play when it comes to this kind of stuff. They been cracking down heavy the last couple seasons, especially this season with the whole Bishop Montgomery High School situation. So once the investigation started, Norco had no choice but to self-report. Meaning, they went ahead and turned themselves in before CIF could hit ’em even harder.

But here’s the crazy part, Norco didn’t get caught by accident. Nah, word is, a parent from inside the program blew the whistle. Somebody wasn’t feeling how things were being handled, and boom, they dropped the receipts. One thing led to another, CIF stepped in, and before you know it, 6 wins wiped clean. Just like that.

And think about it, this ain’t no small program btw. Norco is D1 and has real football history. They not some random team on the block. So to see them go down like this is wild! Now, this isn’t the first time that this has happened and it sure won’t be the last. That’s like watching a neighborhood legend get benched mid-game.

Now the school’s standing there with their whole season gone, morale down, and their name in headlines for the wrong reasons. CIF said what they said, Norco said what they had to say, and now they gotta rebuild from scratch.

But this right here? It’s just another example of how Cali high school football getting real political. Transfers, paperwork, eligibility, it’s like everybody playin’ chess while the kids just wanna play football. Another reason why I say, adults are ruining the game. 

So yeah, Norco is out.
